As a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) it is not uncommon at all to work with individuals. Many people find help for individual issues like depression, anxiety, or trauma and abuse issues through their work with an LMFT. As a family therapist, I am trained to help individuals manage problems in the context of the family and other significant relationships in which one is involved. I specialize in working with all sorts of addictions and do individual counseling in conjunction with group treatment.

Couples counseling is one of my favorite areas of work. Pre-marital counseling is a passion of mine and I utilize the PREPARE-ENRICH inventory. I also have extensive experience working with couples in crisis related to affairs or addictions.

I work with parents coping with single parent life, helping adolsecents who are struggling with acting out behaviors, and general parent/child issues.

Presently I conduct three weekly groups. One is for men struggling with sexual addiction. I am currently pursuing my certification as a sexual addictions specialist. I also conduct a weekly group for those struggling with alcohol & other drug addictions and a general support group that includes a mix of people dealing with various issues. I pre-screen all members of the groups before inviting them to join to foster an environment of safety and trust in each group.
